In 2009 Bob Sampson decided to restore a 1967 Ford 3000 tractor, his wife Carol told him to do something with it when it was finished...the rest is history!

John O Groats to Lands Ends in a 1967 Ford 3000 Vintage tractor with no roof, was the idea he came up with and Cancer Research and North Devon Hospice would be who he would do it for.

Over the next few months Bob worked tirelessly around the clock to not only restore the Ford 3000 tractor to its former glory but also to raise sponsorship money for both Charities too.

He estimated the journey would take about 10 days to complete including a stop at his local summer fayre, The North Devon Show.

However thats about all the planning he did and with good friend Alan Lock following him with an old caravan they had no idea where they would end up each day or what would happen next!

In the end he made it to Lands End and raised a total of £8000 .

A film crew followed Bob all the way a produced a DVD of the epic journey with the profits from this also helping to raise more money for the charities.
